In Golden, Clear Creek Trail features everything indoor people and outdoor people could want. One of America's most famous peaks is right outside Denver, about 12 miles west of Colorado Springs and 14,115 feet above sea level. Yes really. You can visit the old jail that used to house prisoners on the island. It is part of the Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum and gives an insight into the prison conditions during the early twentieth century. Well almost. It's all a part of the history of Anna Maria Island and is an interesting thing to do.

Bean Point is a special place and not just because it is a remote part of the island or an exclusive beach area.
