Tucked between Houston and Austin, Round Top is every antique lover's dream. In fact, this historic little town is home to Moore's Fort - the oldest building in Fayette county. With a thriving coffee shop and restaurant scene, Round Top also plays host to three internationally renowned events every year:
- Twice a year - in spring and fall - the Round Top Antiques Fair takes over the town and gives bargain hunters the opportunity to shop til they drop
- The Institute at Round Top hosts the International Festival, a music competition for young musicians and members of the faculty
- The Shakespeare-in-Performance study program from UT Austin's English Department is responsible for Shakespeare at Winedale.
