The Top Ten Attractions at Legoland Florida
Legoland Florida is located just outside of Orlando and is a great option for families with young children or adults that love the iconic brick. The majority of rides at the park are focused on younger children and pre-teens. Try to get there in time for a Master Builder class if you have a child that is obsessed with all things Lego. They will learn a few tips and tricks that will help them to create impressive Lego builds.
01 The Ninjago Ride
This is a 4D ride that interprets the riders karate chop style hand movements and integrates them into the ride. Passengers are immersed in the martial arts world of Ninjago. Younger children may find the ride a bit frightening, but older kids will love the interactive aspects of the ride.
02 Mini-land USA
Children and adults alike will love Mini-Land USA. This is the true heart of the theme park and a great place to spend a few hours exploring all the intricately made Lego replicas of famous sites in the USA. You will find Daytona Speedway with working cars, a shuttle launch at the Kennedy Space, and a very detailed replica of Times Square.

03 The Lego Movie
Watch a short film based on this iconic movie in 4D to add a new and fascinating dimension to every scene. The jokes are similar to those in the movie with some aimed at adults and others aimed at kids. The whole family will enjoy this show, which is one of the most popular attractions in the park.

04 Cypress Gardens
Take a break from all the excitement and head to Cypress Gardens. This was a popular tourist attraction long before any of the big theme parks arrived in Florida. Legoland has preserved the manicured gardens and they are now a peaceful place to relax in the heat of the day. Enjoy a walk along the meandering paths and discover hidden delights around every corner.

05 Legoland Florida Water Park
This is a small extension of the main Legoland park. You will need to purchase entrance to the water park on top of your access to Legoland. If you are visiting in the height of summer, this park is a great place to spend a few hours cooling off. There are a number of exciting slides and water rides with a Lego theme. One of the most popular activities is to build a raft using floating Lego bricks and try to float it down the lazy river.

06 The Dragon
You won't find any high-speed roller coasters at Legoland as the park is designed for younger children, but there are a few wild rides such as The Dragon. This is an outdoor roller coaster that starts as a dark ride inside a Lego style castle complete with knights and wizards. Riders do need to be 40 inches tall to take on the Dragon Coaster.

07 Driving School
There are two Driving Schools at Legoland. One of them is designed for children aged 3 - 5 and involves a small circular track with easy to drive cars. The older version is for children aged 6 -13 and this one involves a short lecture on basic driving skills before the kids are let loose on the track. At the end of both Driving schools, children will receive a Legoland driver's license.

08 Pirates Cove
Cypress Gardens used to hold a ski show for patrons, and the Pirates Cove is the Legoland version of that classic show. The show is very entertaining for young children and involves skiers dressed in Lego costumes showing off their skills with a number of stunts. There is a pirate theme to the show and a narrator who provides the humor side of the show and gets the audience involved. Seating for the show fills up very quickly during the high season so make sure to get there early if you want to get a good seat. The front few rows will get wet during the show.
09 Legoland Hotel
Stay the night in the Legoland hotel to get extra brick hours in the park before it opens in the morning. There are two options for guests to stay where the play at Legoland. The main hotel is right next to the park and offers a variety of themed rooms. The Beach Retreat is a short distance away and offers shuttles to the park during your stay.
10 Apple Fries
The food in Legoland is better than the standard fare in theme parks, and the prices are reasonable in comparison. One of the most famous treats available in the park is Granny's, Apple Fries. Pieces of apple are fried and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. You can enjoy this yummy snack on its own or with a dollop of ice cream.
