Although it is often dismissed as a boring flyover state by outsiders, Iowa's strong anti-discrimination laws have created thriving multicultural centers in the larger cities, which offer plenty of art and entertainment for residents to enjoy. While the overall economy is still mostly agricultural, many high-tech businesses are starting to relocate to the Hawkeye State. It's also a great spot for the politically active, as the Iowa caucuses often play a major role in choosing presidential candidates. As a bonus, it has some of the cleanest air in the United States.
