If you are not staying on the Disneyland Paris property, it is still easy to get to and from the parks. From Paris, it is a comfortable 40-minute train ride on the RER, which costs about seven euros per person. Don't worry about missing your stop, because Disneyland Paris is the last station on the line. If you are staying at an offsite hotel or an Airbnb, there are plenty of buses that will shuttle your family to the parks for free, usually every 15 to 30 minutes.

If you are in a hurry, don't be. Relax and let yourself and your family have fun. But you can maximize your time in the parks by using the FASTPASS machines located at most rides. Here's how it works: Put your park admission ticket into the machine to receive a return time to come back to that ride, often with greatly reduced wait times of 15 minutes or less. A FASTPASS is required for each person, so be sure to insert each family member's ticket. When you return at your specified time you enter the FASTPASS line, which puts you ahead of those who did not use this service.

You don't have to pick and choose which adult will be left behind to watch the young ones; use the child switch pass. While one or two people stay behind to watch over the younger kids, the other family members can get in line, take a child switch pass, and enjoy the ride. On exiting the ride, they give the child switch pass to the persons or persons, up to two, who then can enjoy the ride without having to wait in line.

The climate in Paris is markedly different than most other Disney locations, so be prepared. You may enter the park under sunny skies but experience light showers from time to time. The Wildlife Express Train gives guests a rare glimpse into Disney's elusive backstage. Guests board the train at Harambe Station and take a 7-minute trek around the back of Kilimanjaro Safaris. Kali River Rapids is a chance for thrill-seeking guests to float over 20-foot waterfalls, across bubbling geysers, and through treacherous white water rapids. Noah's Ark has the distinction of being the United States' largest waterpark with nearly 50 waterslides, multiple wave pools and myriad other attractions for the whole family. The park is a stalwart in the industry and remains nothing short of a pioneer after nearly 40 years. It continues to build and build each year. Considering that it is only open from roughly Memorial Day to Labor Day it's impressive that the owners continue to strive towards excellence, and retain its title of the biggest and best in the United States year-after-year.

You won't find any high-speed roller coasters at Legoland as the park is designed for younger children, but there are a few wild rides such as The Dragon. There are two Driving Schools at Legoland. One of them is designed for children aged 3 - 5 and involves a small circular track with easy to drive cars. The older version is for children aged 6 -13 and this one involves a short lecture on basic driving skills before the kids are let loose on the track. Cypress Gardens used to hold a ski show for patrons, and the Pirates Cove is the Legoland version of that classic show. It's not just mom's job to make sure all the essentials are packed, dad and kids should pitch in on this too. While it's best to avoid the zoo on one of the hotter days, you're still going to need sunscreen, water, and hats. Southern Californian heat can be dry and stifling, so you need to make sure everyone stays hydrated and protected to avoid heatstroke. What's worse than ending your trip to the zoo with aching feet? <h2>4. Grab a Map Before You Do Anything Else</h2>
Sure, there are some adventurous people out there who like to discover a place by themselves, but when you're with kids, it's different. There's a big chance they're going to want to see specific animals and, for that, you should definitely grab one of the maps located throughout the zoo. As well as this, the San Diego Zoo has an app that has the map on it, too, but apps drain your phone's battery, and the phone is better used to capture memories. Grab a map! It's fun.

With the map in front of you, you can make a solid plan of what to see first and the route to get there. Your plan can either be one that makes use of the zoo transport options or proximity to the car. Having a plan on where you want to go will maximize the use of your time, and you might just see a creature you never realized you wanted to until you did.

<h2>7. Hop on the Kangaroo Bus or Skyfari</h2>
Every admission ticket allows you to use the Kangaroo Bus. The bus has four stops throughout the park and roughly arrive every 15 minutes. It's a great addition to the park that really saves your feet. Additionally, with your plan in motion, you can use it to make the most of your zoo time. An alternative to this is the Skyfari, an aerial tram that offers a shortcut from the entrance to the back of the park. If you're not keen on hills, definitely hop on the Skyfari.

<h2>8. If You Want to Dine, Make Reservations</h2>
The park's restaurant, Albert's, doesn't require reservations, but it's still wise to make them if you plan on eating at the zoo. Whether it's a busy day or a less crowded one, once you've worked up an appetite, you don't want to be standing in line with a growling stomach. Albert's also has some great seating you might miss out on if you don't make reservations. On its porch, you'll feel like you're in the middle of the Amazonian Rainforest. There are also a few special dining experiences you can book in advance, too, like Breakfast at Penguins.

These days, with everybody using cellphones, it seems like we'd do anything to avoid asking for help.
